The correct direction is Kilakku (EAST- TIMUR) it means your pooja medai should facing east. Facing the sunrise. This we call it as uthamum - very good n BEST LOCATION. The second option is Vadakku (NORTH - UTARA). Placing durgai facing north is very auspicious. You can put this 2 position only and dun ever place it facing SOUTH(Therkku).
If you cannot adjust your samy medai as i mentioned above, dun worry. What you need to do is just adjust your kamachi amman vilakku to face kilakku (EAST) , Vadakku(NORTH) or Merkku(West). If you have some loan problem that is pending put your villaku facing WEST(Merkku). DO NOT EVER PUT YOUR VILAKKU FACING SOUTH -its not good for you and your family because if there is dead in family then only we will put villaku facing south.
Ok how about location? The best location is Esana moolai NORTH EAST because automatic vibration can be feel. But if the esana moolai is outside of your house, what we can do right. If you staying in double story house try not to put your pooja medai on the first floor because it been told that pooja medai should be on the ground floor and it should be attach to earth(land) vibration, gravity and you will feeling the divine vibration. Make sure your pooja medai is 1inch higher from ground.
